Tokyo DisneySea
The sea-themed Disney park on Tokyo Bay, where a smoking volcano rises over a Mediterranean harbour and Fantasy Springs brings Frozen, Rapunzel and Peter Pan to life.

Quick facts
- Typical hours
- 09:00–21:00
- Ideal visit
- A full day from opening to closing; the standard 1-Day Passport is valid from opening time. The After 3 (weekends and holidays) and After 5 (weekdays) passports suit a shorter afternoon or evening visit.
- Best time
- Buy your ticket as soon as your date goes on sale (two months ahead, from 14:00), because dates can sell out, and arrive before opening. In the official calendar, weekday prices were usually lower than Saturday prices; a lower-priced date may also be quieter, but that is our guess from the pricing, not an official crowd forecast.
- Toddler-friendly
Prices change, so we don't list them. Check today's price on Klook.

Labels are computed from the fact sheet: walking distance (1–5), seating availability (1–5), wheelchair and stroller rental. They are not opinions.
- Senior-friendly: walking score 2 or lower and seating score 4 or higher.
- Some walking for seniors: walking score 3, or little walking but few places to sit.
- Demanding for seniors: walking score 4 or higher.
- Toddler-friendly: toddler-ride score 4 or higher and strollers for rent.
- If a score has not been confirmed, we show no label.
Tokyo DisneySea is the sea-themed park of Tokyo Disney Resort, right next to Tokyo Disneyland on Tokyo Bay. Its lands are built as “ports of call”: a Mediterranean harbor under a smoking volcano, an old New York waterfront, a mermaid kingdom and, newest of all, Fantasy Springs with its Frozen, Rapunzel and Peter Pan areas.
The short version: buy your dated ticket online as soon as sales open for your day, because there are no gate sales and popular dates sell out. Take the monorail from Maihama, be at the gate before opening, and decide in advance which one or two rides are worth paying Disney Premier Access for. As of our check, anyone in the park can walk into Fantasy Springs without a special pass. Two rules worth knowing early: you can leave and come back on the same day, and the park serves alcohol but has no halal or vegan menu.
Highlights: what to see and ride
The park is split into themed ports. You won’t fit everything into one day, so agree on your group’s top three or four before you arrive. Some big rides are closed for refurbishment at times: Planned closures listed on 14 October 2026: Tower of Terror until 5 November 2026, Indiana Jones Adventure until 29 November 2026, Journey to the Center of the Earth 8 January – 8 March 2027, Peter Pan's Never Land Adventure 9–16 March 2027 and Raging Spirits 17 March – 10 April 2027. Check the official closure list for your date.
Mediterranean Harbor and Soaring: Fantastic Flight
The entrance port, a Mediterranean-style harbor with the volcano Mount Prometheus rising behind it. It’s home to Soaring: Fantastic Flight, a flying-theater ride with a minimum height of 102 cm. It’s also on the Premier Access list. The Baby Center and Central First Aid are also in this port.
Fantasy Springs
The park’s newest port has three areas based on Disney films: Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest and Peter Pan’s Never Land. As of our check, there were no entry restrictions, so any guest in the park could walk in. Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey and Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival list no minimum height, and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies is a gentle ride for small kids. Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure needs 102 cm, and children can’t ride on a lap. The three restaurants here take orders through Disney Mobile Order in the app.
Mysterious Island
The port inside the volcano’s crater. Journey to the Center of the Earth is the headline ride, with a minimum height of 117 cm. Next door, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea has no minimum height, so it works for the whole family.
American Waterfront
Old New York harbor streets, with the S.S. Columbia liner in port. Tower of Terror needs 102 cm. Toy Story Mania!, a shooting-game ride, has no minimum height, so the whole family can play.
Lost River Delta
A jungle-ruin port with two of the park’s big thrill rides. Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull needs 117 cm. Raging Spirits, a roller coaster with a full loop, needs 117 cm, and riders taller than 195 cm can’t ride.
Mermaid Lagoon
A good port for toddlers, set around a coral-and-shell castle. Jumpin’ Jellyfish, Blowfish Balloon Race, Scuttle’s Scooters and The Whirlpool have no minimum height, and Flounder’s Flying Fish Coaster, a small first coaster, needs 90 cm. There’s a baby care room here too.
Arabian Coast and Port Discovery
Arabian Coast has three calm rides with no minimum height: Sindbad’s Storybook Voyage, Jasmine’s Flying Carpets and Caravan Carousel. In Port Discovery, Nemo & Friends SeaRider needs 90 cm. These are good fillers between the big rides.
Shows
Shows are a big part of a DisneySea day. Some can be watched from a reserved area with Premier Access, and Dance the Globe! and Dreams Take Flight used Entry Request, a free draw in the app, when we checked. For the rest, it’s first come, first served.
Tickets and how to buy
Every park ticket is for one park on one fixed date. Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea share the same ticket lineup, and you choose the park when you buy.
| Ticket | Who | Entry |
|---|---|---|
| 1-Day Passport | Adults (18 years and older), juniors (ages 12 to 17) and children (ages 4 to 11) | From opening |
| After 3 Passport | Adults, juniors and children | Weekends and holidays, from 15:00 |
| After 5 Passport | Adults, juniors and children | Weekdays, from 17:00 |
| 1-Day Passport for Guests with Disabilities | Adults (certificate holder and a companion) | From opening |
Children aged 3 and under get in free.
What you’ll pay. Prices change by date, with separate prices for adults, juniors and children, so check the current price for your own date on Klook with the button below.
Which ticket should you buy? For a first visit, the 1-Day Passport. The current lineup has no multi-day passport and no ticket for both parks on one day. To visit Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, or to come on two days, buy a separate 1-Day Passport for each park and date. A limited-period Park Hopper ticket was sold for summer 2026 only (valid 1 July – 14 September 2026). The After 3 Passport and After 5 Passport suit an evening visit, or a second look at the park after a full day, but they’re too short for a first visit if Fantasy Springs is on your list.
When and where to buy: Tickets are for one park on one fixed date and are sold online (official website or app) from 14:00 each day for the same date two months later; popular dates can sell out. The ticket booths are closed, so there are no gate sales. Disney hotel guests can also buy at their hotel, and some travel agencies and convenience stores sell tickets. Cancellations and refunds for personal reasons are not accepted. You can buy up to 10 park tickets online in one go.

Disney Premier Access: skip the line, and when you don’t need it
Disney Premier Access is a paid, per-person time slot for one attraction (shorter wait) or a reserved viewing spot for a show. You buy it in the Tokyo Disney Resort App after you have entered the park, by credit, debit or prepaid card (guests without the app or such a card can buy it at the attraction itself), and it never includes the park ticket. At Tokyo DisneySea it covers nine rides, including Soaring, Toy Story Mania!, Journey to the Center of the Earth and three Fantasy Springs rides. Quantities are limited, it can sell out, and it cannot be changed or refunded; children 3 and under ride free with a paying adult. The price varies by ride and show and is paid per person, so for a family the cost adds up quickly. Things to know before you count on it:
- It’s not a park ticket. Everyone still needs their own 1-Day Passport.
- You can’t buy it before your visit. It’s only sold once you’re inside the park (in the app, or at the ride itself), and popular slots can sell out.
- One at a time. You can buy the next one 60 minutes after your last purchase, or once your last slot starts, whichever comes first.
- Fantasy Springs doesn’t need a separate pass. As of our check, the port was open to every guest, and you could ride either by queuing in standby or with Premier Access. Earlier rules for this area have changed, so look at the official Fantasy Springs page shortly before your visit.
- The free app services aren’t for rides. Standby Pass and Entry Request are free app services. On 14 October 2026 Tokyo DisneySea used Standby Pass only for some shops and character greetings, and Entry Request (a draw) for the shows Dance the Globe! and Dreams Take Flight. No ride needs either one.
Do you need Premier Access?
| Your situation | Our take |
|---|---|
| Busy date (weekend or Japanese holiday) and only one day | Worth it for one or two top rides, such as Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey |
| Fantasy Springs is the main reason for your visit | Worth a look for the Frozen or Peter Pan ride, bought as soon as you’re inside |
| Quieter weekday and you’ll be at the gate before opening | Usually not. Start with the rides your group wants most and use standby |
| Young kids below most height limits | Only for rides everyone can take, such as Frozen Journey, Rapunzel or Toy Story Mania! |
| You mainly want the shows and the atmosphere | Usually not, unless you want a reserved viewing area for a show |
| Big family on a tight budget | Usually not. The cost multiplies by every person |
| Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies | Not available. It’s standby only |
When you don’t need it: on a weekday, with an early start and a clear list of priorities, a day without Premier Access is very doable. The park has plenty of no-height-limit rides and shows to fill the time while queues are long. When it helps most: one busy day where a single ride matters a lot to your group. Buy that one as soon as you’re through the gate, then use the free standby queues for the rest.
Getting there
The route in short: JR Maihama Station (JR Keiyo Line / Musashino Line), then the Disney Resort Line monorail from Resort Gateway Station to Tokyo DisneySea Station, right in front of the main entrance. From Maihama, the last leg works like this: Leave JR Maihama Station by the South Exit, turn left to Resort Gateway Station and ride the Disney Resort Line monorail to Tokyo DisneySea Station; the monorail is a separate paid line. Tokyo Disneyland is a short walk from Maihama, so DisneySea is the one that needs the monorail. The times below are official estimates and don’t include waiting or transfer time.
From Tokyo Station
- Take the JR Keiyo Line to Maihama, about 20 minutes with no change of train.
- Walk to Resort Gateway Station, about 2 minutes.
- Ride the Disney Resort Line to Tokyo DisneySea Station, about 9 minutes.
- Walk to the main entrance, about 1 minute.
From Haneda Airport
By train to Maihama, allow about 50 minutes, with changes along the way. Then follow steps 2 to 4 above.
From Narita Airport
By train to Maihama, allow about 80 minutes, with a change on the way. Then follow steps 2 to 4 above.
Disney Resort Line tickets
The monorail has its own fare, separate from your park ticket. Single tickets and day passes are sold at the station ticket machines.
Plan for the day
Hours usually run 09:00–21:00 in the current official calendar, but closing time ranges from 18:30–21:00, so check the calendar for your date. Depending on the day, admission can start before the official opening time, and some attractions may already be running.
The night before: install the Tokyo Disney Resort App (official, needs a MyDisney account) — shows tickets and wait times and sells Disney Premier Access; also handles Standby Pass, Entry Request, Disney Mobile Order and restaurant Priority Seating. Add everyone’s park tickets to it, charge your phones and bring a power bank.
Before opening: be at the gate early. Bags go through a security check with metal detectors, so allow time for that.
First hour: if you’ve decided on Premier Access, buy it in the app the moment you’re inside, before the good time slots go. Then head for the top ride on your list. If that’s in Fantasy Springs and you’re queuing in standby, go there first.
Late morning: work through the next rides on your list, mixing in no-height-limit rides at Arabian Coast or Mermaid Lagoon if you have small kids.
Lunch: order ahead through Disney Mobile Order in the app (it’s the only way to order at the Fantasy Springs restaurants). Or, since same-day re-entry is allowed, eat your own food at the picnic area outside the park.
Afternoon: catch a show and rest your feet. Check the app for any Entry Request draws you want to try.
Evening: watch wait times in the app and go for any big ride whose queue drops. Leave time for any evening show on your list.
Practical info and accessibility
There’s no official information on walking distances inside the park or on benches and rest areas, so we can’t score those. You can rent a wheelchair by the day, a battery-assisted push wheelchair, or a motorized wheelchair (adults only, test ride required). Note that DisneySea has no Personal Care Space with beds, unlike Tokyo Disneyland.

- Luggage
- Suitcases and wheeled carriers are not allowed in the park. Use the coin lockers by the entrance (they can fill up); on busy days, when they are full, a temporary baggage storage for suitcases is set up. Easier still, leave big luggage at your hotel.
- Not allowed in
- Not allowed into the park (bags are checked at a security gate with a metal detector) include alcoholic drinks, food you brought, cans, glass containers, suitcases and wheeled carriers, drones, pets other than assistance dogs, and selfie sticks or tripods for use in the park.
- Food & drink rules
- Please don't eat your own meals inside the park; there are picnic areas outside the park for that (you may carry the food in a bag). Candy, gum, snacks for small children, water bottles and non-alcoholic drinks in plastic bottles are allowed. Guests with dietary limitations such as allergies, and babies who need baby food, may bring their own meal into restaurants after telling the cast member at the entrance.
- Halal, vegan and plant-based
- No halal food and no vegan meals. The park says no restaurant or menu currently caters to specific religions, and no restaurant can provide vegan meals. Some restaurants offer plant-based dishes made mainly without meat, seafood, egg, dairy, honey or gelatine, but they are not guaranteed free of animal products and may share equipment and frying oil. Ingredient lists are not given in advance; ask the cast member at the restaurant on the day.
- Allergies
- Restaurants offer a 'Special Dietary Menu' without the five main allergens (wheat, dairy, eggs, buckwheat and peanuts), and some can heat retort-pouch food or your own meal in a microwave; tell the cast member when you arrive. Restaurant tableware is not allergen-free.
- Alcohol
- Tokyo DisneySea serves alcohol; the official restaurant list filtered for 'Alcoholic beverage' showed 26 places on 14 October 2026. Guests who look under age may be asked for an original ID such as a passport. You may not bring your own alcohol.
- Payment
- Shops and restaurants take cash, major credit cards (including JCB), debit and prepaid cards, contactless cards and phone wallets (not UnionPay contactless), Japanese e-money (QUICPay, iD and transport IC cards such as Suica, PASMO and ICOCA) and the Tokyo Disney Resort Gift Card. QR-code payment (PayPay and Alipay only) works just for Disney Mobile Order and online ticket purchases, not at shop or restaurant tills or for Premier Access. Other QR wallets such as WeChat Pay are not listed.
- Baby care
- The Baby Center in Mediterranean Harbor has nursing space, changing tables, boiled hot water for formula, a microwave, a bottle sink and highchairs, and sells baby items. There is also a baby care room in Mermaid Lagoon and a nursing lounge in the restrooms near Tower of Terror (no hot water at those two). All park restrooms have diaper-changing stations. There is no childcare service.
- Rider Switch
- Rider Switch lets two adults take turns on any ride with boarding requirements while the other waits with a child who can't ride; the second adult returns at a set time without queuing again. Ask the cast member at the ride entrance before you join the line.
- First aid
- Central First Aid is in Mediterranean Harbor (ask any cast member to be taken there); it treats minor injuries and illness only, so bring any medicine you take. AEDs are placed throughout the park. Unlike Tokyo Disneyland, there is no Personal Care Space with beds at Tokyo DisneySea.
- Re-entry
- Same-day re-entry is allowed between opening and closing time. Tell a cast member when you leave and show your park ticket when you come back in.
Common mistakes
- Planning to buy tickets at the gate. The ticket booths are closed. Buy online before you go, and early for weekends and holidays.
- Expecting a two-park or multi-day ticket. Each ticket covers one park on one date. Tokyo Disneyland is a separate ticket on a separate day.
- Walking from Maihama Station. DisneySea is reached by the Disney Resort Line monorail, which has its own fare. Tokyo Disneyland is the walkable one.
- Expecting to pre-book Premier Access. You can only buy it in the app after you’ve entered, and it never includes park entry.
- Packing the wrong things. Suitcases, your own alcohol, glass bottles, cans and selfie sticks or tripods for use in the park are all out.
- Not checking closures for your date. Big rides such as Tower of Terror, Indiana Jones Adventure and Journey to the Center of the Earth have scheduled closures. Check the official list before you plan your day around one.
FAQ
How do I check the price of Tokyo DisneySea tickets?
The price depends on your date, and there are separate prices for adults, juniors and children. Prices change often, so check the current price for your exact date on Klook with the ticket button on this page.
Can I buy Tokyo DisneySea tickets at the gate?
No. The ticket booths are closed, so buy a dated ticket on the official website or app before you go (Disney hotel guests can also buy at their hotel, and some travel agencies and convenience stores sell tickets). Popular dates can sell out.
Is Disney Premier Access worth it at DisneySea?
On a busy single day, for one or two rides your group really wants, it can be. On a quiet weekday with an early start, or with young kids under most height limits, you can usually skip it. You pay per ride and per person, on top of your park ticket.
Do I need a special pass to enter Fantasy Springs?
Not as of our check. The official Fantasy Springs page said there were no entry restrictions, so you could walk in with a regular park ticket and either queue in standby or buy Premier Access for the rides. This has changed before, so check the official page close to your visit.
Can I visit Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea on the same day?
Not with the tickets on sale when we checked. There’s no two-park ticket, so plan a separate day, and a separate ticket, for each park.
Can I leave Tokyo DisneySea and come back?
Yes. Same-day re-entry is allowed between opening and closing time. Tell a cast member when you leave and show your park ticket when you come back in.
Does Tokyo DisneySea serve alcohol?
Yes. Tokyo DisneySea serves alcohol; the official restaurant list filtered for 'Alcoholic beverage' showed 26 places on 14 October 2026. Guests who look under age may be asked for an original ID such as a passport. You may not bring your own alcohol.
Is there halal or vegan food at Tokyo DisneySea?
No halal food and no vegan meals. The park says no restaurant or menu currently caters to specific religions, and no restaurant can provide vegan meals. Ingredient lists are not given in advance; ask the cast member at the restaurant on the day. What can small children ride?
These rides list no minimum height on their official pages: Anna and Elsa's Frozen Journey, Rapunzel's Lantern Festival and Fairy Tinker Bell's Busy Buggies in Fantasy Springs, plus Toy Story Mania!, Sindbad's Storybook Voyage, Jasmine's Flying Carpets, Caravan Carousel, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and the Mermaid Lagoon rides Jumpin' Jellyfish, Blowfish Balloon Race, Scuttle's Scooters and The Whirlpool. On several of them a small child may sit on a lap; riders must still be able to sit steadily on their own on most. Flounder’s Flying Fish Coaster and Nemo & Friends SeaRider start at 90 cm.
